Africa Chatbot & Conversational AI Summit 2026

Landmark Event Centre, 2B Water Corporation Drive, Landmark Event Centre (tentative venue), Lagos, 101241, Lagos, Nigeria (view on Google Maps)

The Africa Chatbot & Conversational AI Summit 2026 marks the sixth edition of the series and is scheduled for August 2026 in Lagos, Nigeria. Building on its sister event in Europe, the summit aims to catalyse the adoption of conversational and generative AI across Africa’s public and private sectors.

The organisers state that the event is a must‑attend platform for AI leaders, innovators and decision‑makers shaping the continent’s digital future. Sessions will explore how large‑language‑model agents can drive service delivery and business growth, how organisations can measure ROI on chatbot deployments, and how to design human‑centric and ethical conversational experiences.

Key themes include the emergence of generative AI and multimodal agents, voice AI for local languages, the integration of AI into customer service and government services, and regulatory considerations across African jurisdictions. Workshops will teach participants how to build and fine‑tune conversational AI models for low‑resource languages, and panels will examine how to develop African datasets and AI talent pipelines.

The summit also emphasises community building: industry leaders, startups, venture capitalists, academia and government officials will convene to share success stories, challenges and opportunities. A dedicated exhibition space will showcase African startups and global vendors working on chatbot platforms, speech recognition, analytics and AI ethics.

The summit’s mission is to create an inclusive environment where Africa’s diverse linguistic and cultural landscapes inform the design of conversational AI solutions, thereby fostering innovation and bridging the digital divide.

Attendance type: In-person
